It's challenging at the best of times in the Namuwongo slum. Now our NCF school and operation has had to close down throughout the coronavirus lockdown. The economy has stagnated and starvation is hitting hard. Disease, child pregnancy, suicide and abuse are at an all time high.
We have 273 children at our NCF Primary School. Our aim is to provide emergency food relief parcels for every child/family asap. At a cost of just £10 per parcel we can help. It won't solve everything, but it will make a massive difference and send an amazing message of encouragement. We know.
Our challenge is to cycle 1000 miles (1609km) across 12 National Parks of England and Wales from 2nd - 18th September. With over 25,000 metres of ascent it will be challenging ... but nothing compared to the daily battle faced in the slum.
We would be grateful for any contribution that you feel you are able to make. We can assure you that it will make a difference to the lives of some of the most needy.
